MMU Youngest Batch Starts Charity Early
A noble project, done by our foundation students, turned out to be an excellent one as a staggering 728 students from various foundation programmes namely Foundation in Business, Engineering, IT, and Law made their contribution to the Business Project for Charity 2016/17.
The programme was part of the students’ coursework for the Fundamentals of Business Management subject, which was coordinated by Foundation in Business Department, Faculty of Business (FOB) to inculcate awareness of social responsibilities among students.
On 15 February 2017, the Dean of FOB, Dr. Zauwiyah Ahmad presented the donation cheques amounting to RM14,510.85 on behalf of the generous students to three selected organisations namely National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM), HOSPICE Melaka, and St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (SJAM) Bacang Haemodialysis Centre. Also present at the ceremony was Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alan Tan Wee Chiat.
The project successfully achieved its objective of providing students with the opportunity to proactively incorporate business theories into real business project and to develop teamwork spirit as well as helping the underprivileged community.
