EVENT MANAGEMENT

Event Management is in charge of organizing MMU Events and also providing assistance to students and staff in various events such as Student Events, Special Events and MoU/MoA signings.

  • To provide assistance with planning and coordination on faculty-related and external events
  • To execute excellent public relations and effective coordination of MMU’s special annual events
  • To advise and facilitate student events
  • To liaise with the relevant support unit departments in preparation of the event
  • Administer the MMU diary and the monthly event planner
  • Develop ideas and execute direct mail and internet advertising activities
  • To be responsible for the archiving of documents using the Data Management System (DMS)
  • To assist in the general admin of the unit

Guidelines for Students

Please note that all invitation letters for student events whose

invitees are of the following stature shall be signed off by the President:

1) Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor
2) Deputy Ministers and Above
3) Ambassadors
4) TM Chairman & GCEO

  • The reason being is to facilitate the President and also Presidents Office to be aware of
  • the proposed invitee(s) and to confirm the Presidents presence and alsoin honour of the respected guest(s).
  • The draft letter shall follow the current practice and finally vetted byPresidentss Office before signing by the President.
  • The current practice for invitees other than the above listed shall remain.
  • This does not include letter asking for sponsorship and other purpose.
