RESULT CALCULATION

1. Grade

Grade means the final grade of a course for a trimester based on the total scores awarded for coursework and end-of-trimester examination.

2. Grade Points

Grade points are computed by multiplying the number of credit hours per course by the Quality Point Equivalent of the letter grade earned.

I.e:

Subject Code Credit Hour (a) Grade Grade Points (b) Quality Grade Points (a x b)
PIL0015 3 C 2.00 6 [3 x 2.00]
BLS2624 2 A 4.00 8 [2 X 4.00]
EEN7042 4 B- 2.67 10.68 [4 X 2.67]
TDS1341 3 D+ 1.33 3.99 [3 x 1.33]
MPW2133 3 PS - -

3.
Grade Point Average (GPA)

GPA is the average grade point of a student for a particular trimester computed by dividing the Total Quality Points Equivalent by the Total Credit Hours.

GPA = Total Quality Point Equivalent /Total Credit Hours

4. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)

CGPA is the average cumulative point equivalent of student from the beginning of trimester computed by dividing the Cumulative Total Grade Points by the Cumulative Total Credit Hours.

CGPA = Total Accumulated Point Equivalent /Total Accumulated Credit Hours
