This four-year programme provides a complete undergraduate training in the field of robotics and automation, covering subjects such as Advanced Robotics, Machine Vision, Knowledge-based Systems, Digital Control Systems, Microcontroller and Microprocessor Systems, Automation, and Power Technology.

In addition, this programme also provides students with industrial experience and research training, by requiring students to complete industrial training and graduation projects.

Programme Outcomes

  • Acquire and apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals
  • Acquire technical competence in specialized areas of engineering discipline to solve complex engineering problems
  • Identify and analyze complex engineering problems, and formulate solutions based on fundamental principles of science and engineering
  • Design solutions for complex engineering problems that meet specified needs with relevant considerations of their impacts in society
  • Conduct investigation and research on complex engineering problems in the chosen field of study
  • Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools to complex engineering activities

Entry Requirements

Either of the following:
  • Pass Foundation in related field from a recognized institution;
  • Pass A Level or its equivalent with 3 Principals inclusive of Mathematics and Physics;
  • Pass Diploma in related field from recognized institution.

AND

  • A minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or its equivalent
Either of the following:
  • Pass Foundation / Matriculation in related field from a recognised institution
  • Pass STPM / A Level or its equivalent with 3 principals inclusive of Mathematics and Physics
  • Pass Diploma in related field from a recognised institution
  • Pass UEC with minimum of grade B in at least five (5) subjects inclusive of Mathematics and Physics
