Annual Leave entitlement for all staff is as shown below :

New staff member is only allowed to take the annual leave one (1) month after reporting for duty.
Staff can only carry forward balance of leave to the next calendar year or contract period up to half (1/2) of his entitlement only.
No staff is allowed to take leave more than half of his entitlement continuously at any one time without the approval of the Senior Director of Human Capital Management Division.
Annual leave can be applied via the Leave Online System.
MEDICAL LEAVE
Medical Leave entitlement for all staff is shown as follows :

UNRECORDED LEAVE
Staff may apply for unrecorded leave for the following reasons:
For Item 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7, staff has to apply the leave to the Human Capital Management Division through the Head of Departments manually. For the rest of the items, applications have to be forwarded by the organisers or Head of Departments concerned in writing. The manual Leave Application Form is available on the University’s Intranet.
Result of the application will be notified in writing.
COMPASSIONATE LEAVE
Staff is eligible for compassionate leave up to a maximum of seven (7) days per calendar year as follows :

UNPAID LEAVE
A permanent staff may apply for leave without pay up to a maximum of fourteen (14) days per year provided that he has utilized his annual leave or he is not eligible for paid annual leave and subject to the approval of UTSB’s Management.

MATERNITY LEAVE
A female staff who has been employed for a period of not less than ninety (90) days during the nine (9) months immediately preceding her confinement is entitled for maternity leave on full salary for a period not exceeding sixty (60) consecutive days (inclusive of Rest Day, Off days and Public Holidays) in respect of each confinement. However, she is not entitled to paid maternity leave is at the time of her confinement she has five (5) or more surviving children.
Staff can apply for maternity leave for any day within a period of thirty (30) days immediately following her confinement, with full pay, provided that notice has been given to UTSB within a period of sixty (60) days immediately preceding her maternity leave.

HAJ LEAVE
A permanent muslim staff is entitled for Haj Leave as follows :
