 For the Glory of Our Nation…Encouraging Youth, Education and Innovation.
Being the first of anything is never an easy task. And so must I say about being the Chancellor of Multimedia University over the past 10 years. Laying the foundations for the university, paving the way for good governance and setting a fine example for the younger generation is a responsibility I have uphold with greatest care over the years as the youth before me are easily impressible.
I'm a fervent believer of developing young minds for the progress of our nations through education and innovation.
Most people's perception of the world is shaped by the experiences of youth. As a generation grows into maturity, it seeks to transform the world in its own image. Therefore, innovation results from the demands of one generation against another; the demand of the young to break free pushing hard against the accumulated wisdom of the older.
Youths around the world have been the major force in the historical development of our modern world. They are a great influential factor both positively and negatively that could determine the future of a country and nation. They are the reasons for technological advancement, economic trends, political strives and new culture.
We are faced with youths that are the young about to come into positions into maturity, the people now at university or in early career who will shape the world in which we all move. As such, it is of great significance and relevance to the older generation to transpire their wisdom to the young and impressionable at the same time acknowledging their reasons for change.
Acknowledging this factor, it is the responsibility of the older generation to transpire our worldly wisdom through desirable education that would mould our young minds to be great individuals. And in all of this, I am delighted to say, Multimedia University Malaysia continues to excel in providing Quality Education. I am truly proud and honoured to be part of an institution with an inspiration to be a World Class University, that provides our youths' world over with quality global Education. We've great distances to promote the values we live by and the Education that could promise a lifetime of opportunities.
Our programmes over the short span of 10 years have churned out graduates that are today leading the industry in the country and world over. We have produced graduates from over 70 different nations and the numbers are increasing by the years.
This further proves that with good governance and quality Education with world class standards and environment could bring about great societal changes through the moulded and inspired young minds. With vision, inspiration and determination comes innovation and change for a better and promising future.
I strongly encourage the youths world over and welcome the preceding generations to become a part of this ever striving University to bring about significant experiences and shared wisdom for a changing world.
My greatest hope and desire is to lead this University into the next exciting stage of its development.
