A Gold Medal for Invention and Innovation
MMU brought home a Gold Medal and 6 Silver Medals during the recent ITEX 2007 showcase. ITEX attracts exhibitors from local and foreign countries to present their latest inventions and innovations.

MMU recently participated in the ITEX 2007 exhibition at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre to showcase some of the products of our university research. Organised by MINDS (Malaysian Invention and Design Society), ITEX attracts exhibitors from local and foreign countries to present their latest inventions and innovations. It serves as a platform to connect inventors and innovators with
entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and manufacturers.
MMU sent about 8 projects to the exhibition. One of our projects won a Gold Medal and 6 other projects won Silver Medals in their respective categories.

5) Dr. Mohd Ridzuan Mokhtar (FOE) - Silver medal in Telecommunication
(Project: Design and Analysis of New Generation Doped Fiber Optical Amplifiers)
6) Dr. Somnuk (FIT) - Silver medal
(Project: Web-based Music Intelligent Tutoring System)
7) Dr. Wong Eng Kiong (FIST) - Silver medal
(Project: Master and Slave Robotic Gripper with Haptic Feedback)
