Admission Unit lays strong groundwork in coordinating admission of local and international students for undergraduate studies. Meanwhile, the function of Scholarship Unit is to provide information on scholarship and loans to students.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMME ACCREDITATION & COORDINATION UNIT (APAC)
APAC is established to facilitate Multimedia University in its quest to become a world class university through its academic programmes. APAC is to ensure the smooth operation of all academic matters and to liaise with relevant authorities to ensure that the university’s programmes gain the necessary approval, accreditation and recognition.
BUSINESS UNIT (BU)
Business Unit main functions are basically to look after the university bookstore, as well as managing on campus business activities. The unit is being managed by a team of dedicated staff as illustrated in our organizational chart.

CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS UNIT (CCU)
Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) is the public relations arm of Multimedia University, which handles a wide array of clients and is involved in various external and internal PR activities. It seeks to satisfy the University's needs in the most economically viable way. The key strategic roles embodied in the mission statement have been developed to further enhance the University's position among the leading research Universities regionally and globally.
CENTER FOR COMMERCIALISATION & TECHNOPRENEUR DEVELOPMENT (CCTD)
Founded in November 1999, the Centre for Commercialisation and Technopreneur Development [CCTD] is responsible for both the commercialisation of Multimedia University's research and also the development of technopreneurs among the university community. CCTD is seen to provide the link between academia and industry for the development of commercially viable technologies and is committed to building beneficial partnerships between academia and the commercial sector.
CENTER FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (CITS)
Center for Information Technology Services is committed to the exploitation of emerging and cutting edge technology with a constant eye on the evolution of future technologies. It provides computing and communications infrastructure. media services and support for the University's instructional, research and administrative programmes. The ultimate goals of this center is to excel in the use of technologies and to allow users rediscovering and realizing their highest potentials. These technologies will enable both campuses (Cyberjaya and Melaka) to fulfill their mission of providing education to students and many others including those in other Institutions as well as teh general public at large.
CENTER FOR MULTIMEDIA EDUCATION & APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT (CMEAD)
Centre for Multimedia Education & Applications Development (CMEAD) was formally known as Multimedia Product Development Centre (MPDC) and it was established in 1997. CMEAD is responsible for the development of innovative products for the university as well as for the industry. R&D ideas will be packaged and made ready for the market. Among the products that have gained wide acceptance are the Multimedia Learning System (MMLS), Smartcard System, e-Scroll, SMS Services, Interactive Voice Response (IVR) System, Document Management System and e-Procurement System (EPS). CMEAD is committed to provide high quality multimedia content and application software for the university and clients.
INSTITUTE OF POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES (IPS)
Parallel with MMU’s mission to establish a research-oriented university, the Institute of Postgraduate Programmes (IPS) coordinates and promotes the postgraduate research and manages administration matters of postgraduate students in their studies and research areas.

EFFECTIVE TEACHING METHODOLOGY UNIT (ETM)
The Effective Teaching Methodology Unit was set up for this very purpose of promoting excellence in teaching and learning in MMU. It aims to improve the academics’ pedagogical and andragogical skills. It aims to maximize teacher effectiveness by providing relevant trainings and workshops in order for academics to be guides in learning motivators, organizers assessors, evaluators etc. An induction program that focuses on enhancing pedagogical skills of academics is incorporated as one of the trainings.
EXAMINATION AND RECORDS UNIT (ERU)
Examination and Records Unit (ERU) manages all examinations, students’ records, course registration and graduation process.
FINANCE
Finance Division provides effective financial services and support to MMU, which will achieve the desired results and value to MMU whilst adopting high internal control standards and statutory requirements. Among services provided include Student Financial Kiosk, which aims to provide students with the latest financial statements as well as e-procurement system for the staff.
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION (FMD)
The Facilities Management Division (FMD) has the arduous yet challenging task to ensure the planning, development, maintenance, business, operational activities are in line with the policies and guidelines outline by MMU. FMD branches into four sub-divisions namely administration and operations, development and planning, maintenance and facilities unit.
GOVERNMENT RELATIONS UNIT (GRU)
Government Relations Unit (GRU) acts as a relation unit frontline between MMU and the local government. GRU also offers short courses and provides consultancy to multimedia support and information technology projects.
HUMAN RESOURCE DIVISION (HRD)
Human Resource Division (HRD) role in ensuring the employees’ excellence is crucial in moving towards a word-class university. Supported by the services and training, operations and industrial relations as well as the recruitment and employment units, it seeks innovative solutions to present an emerging organizational, community and personal work issues that improves the quality of services and encourages staff contribution towards excellence.
INTERNATIONALIZATION AND INTUITIONAL COLLABORATIONS UNIT (IICU)
Internationalization and Intuitional Collaboration Unit (IICU) functions as the body to coordinate schedules and arrange itineraries for short-term visitors from international institutions. Besides maintaining the database of current and past international partners, IICU also assists centres/faculties/ units in developing new international links and programmes.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES UNIT (ISSU)
International Student Services Unit (ISSU) was set-up to assist the growing number of international student prior and after their arrival in Malaysia. Among services provided include application and renewal of student pass and visa for new students, application of single-entry visa, assisting new students to adjust to MMU’s environment through the pre-orientation, liaison between students and sponsors as well as assisting in the transfer of students between Cyberjaya and Melaka campuses.
MSC RELATION (MSCR)
Since MMU is strategically located in the heart of Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) in Cyberjaya, the MSC Relation Unit (MSCR) plays as the key liaison between MMU, Multimedia Development Corporation (MDC) and MSC-status companies. Mode of collaborations between MSCR and partners include joint Research and Development (R&D), contract R&D, consultancy, joint venture, training and short courses, sponsorship, industrial training, scholarships and endowment chair.
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH UNIT (OSH)
MMU aims to raise safety and health measures by developing educational and business activities in a systematic and responsible manner. We always endeavor to ensure that all our activities, services and products do not endanger our employees, students and customers, the public and whoever that has dealings with our university. We believe and are confident that principles of safety and health, rightly implemented, are fundamental in a good management system.
RESERVE MILITARY TRAINING UNIT (RMTU)
The Reserve Military Training Unit (RMTU) was set up to assist in fulfilling the university's initiative and commitment in answering the call of the nation to increase participation in the Territorial Army (Askar Wataniah).This department coordinates activities between MMU and the army, encouraging the staff and students to participate in the voluntary forces and army-related activities, conducting of training, and participating in and coordinating activities related to the skills and manpower of army-related personnel.The department also works together with the MMU student's Reserve Military Elite Club (RMEC), and with the STAD
to oversee the co-curricular course CZA 1060 ROTU at the university.
SECURITY
Functioning 24-hour per day, the vital role of the Security division is to ensure a high degree of security awareness among the MMU community to safeguard them against the discrepancies and acts that might jeopardize the ideal working and studying environment.
SCHOOL RELATIONS AND PROGRAM PROMOTION UNIT (SRPP)
School Relations and Programmes Promotion Unit (SRPP) plays essential role in establishing a close relationship with schools and institutions around Malaysia. SRPP also manages the promotional plans of MMU within Malaysia and assists schools to develop an awareness of IT and Multimedia among students.
STUDENT AFFAIRS AND SPORT DIVISION (STAD)
The Student Affairs and Sports Division (STAD) spearheads the students’ excellence in the non-academic arena. With supporting units like Residential, Student Activities, Transportations, Sports, Counseling, Religious and Student Services, STAD endeavors to achieve balance in the student development process and quip students with indispensable skills to face the challenges in this fast-changing society.
UTILITY AUDIT AND ASSET MONITORING (UAAM)
Utility Audit and Asset Monitoring Unit (UAAM) Plays an important role in utilityauditing and monitoring all type of property categorized as assets including furniture and fittings.

Unitele Multimedia Sdn. Bhd. (UMSB) is wholly owned by Multimedia University (MMU) and incorporated on 25th of January 1999 to venture into businesses other than tertiary education.
